Welcome to the Elbert County Sheriff's Office web site.
We are excited about offering an in-depth look at the Sheriff's Office to
the citizens of Elbert County and the world. We are a full-service law
enforcement agency that is proud to serve the men and women of Elbert
County .
The Elbert County Sheriff's Office is comprised of 57 men and women
(full time employees) who
are dedicated to providing quality, professional
and effective law enforcement service to its citizens for whom we serve.
We also have fourteen part time employees who greatly aide in the operation
of the Sheriff's Office and the Detention Center.
In November of 2000, Barry Haston was elected as Sheriff of
Elbert County. By bringing in new and effective ideas, the Elbert County
Sheriff's Office has received numerous State and National Awards for efforts
in the reduction of crime and for providing a top quality law enforcement
service to the community.
